IN THE NEWS
Genesis Park collaborated with the History Channel to conduct an expedition to Papua New Guinea in 2009. This was a follow up to our trip in 2004. The research trip is being featured on a special episode of the History Channel's program Monster Quest. This episode received their highest ratings of the season. A schedule for airing can be found here http://www.history.com/content/monsterquest/full-schedule. For more information see the page on the Ropen of Papua New Guinea.
The world's largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon, is in the news again. In a study published in the NAS Proceedings, Bryan Fry, who calls himself the "Venom Doc" provided evidence that the Dragons actually are venomous. Their bite doesn't just introduce bacteria into their prey, but they deliver a venom that stops blood clotting and induces low blood pressure to immobilize their prey! Learn more about these fascinating lizards at the Monitor Paddock. A rare pink iguana was recently photographed in the Galapagos islands (right), the famed location Darwin visited as he was developing his evolutionary theories.
RECENTLY ADDED TO THE PARK
Genesis Park had highlighted the discovery by Mary Schweitzer and her team of preserved tissue and cell structure in dinosaur bones. New research added to our How Old is This Bone? page has brought this topic back into the headlines. We have added a number of new pictures to our popular Ancient Dinosaur Depictions page. The Dragons in History page includes new quotes from 17th and 18th century historians about the credibility of living dragon accounts in medieval Europe.
For an update on what's ahead for Genesis Park research, visit our Expeditions Page. Every year Genesis Park sponsors at least one expedition to a cryptozoology site featured on our main page.
VISITOR FEEDBACKA couple of recent comments from visitors to Genesis Park:
- "I have started a creation ministry here in London...I love the site and it has been invaluable. God bless your ministry."
- I googled dinosaurs and biblical times and I have always wondered how they fit in. Your site is amazing; so full of information and many of my questions have been answered.
Thank you for visiting the park. Please consider dropping us a note with your thoughts before you leave.
